More portraits and logos in Gold?

More portraits and logos in Gold?

Will the Gold release of Version 1.0 have anymore pics and logos, or should we be prepared to go with our creations for awhile?

I downloaded the app Iluana suggested. I would really like a tutorial on how to make icons/portraits but failing that perhaps I can get the communities?

Download them while you can I won't be hosting this on my dropbox forever. The player icons are pure white. I'm guessing they colored them in based on faction color.

These are for MOO3. I'll work on the other games later this week. I'm kinda in the mood to stream tonight.

i can also help for anyone who wants a particular logo (still within the GalCiv3 style) but doesn't know how to do it themselves.  I have professional experience with photoshop and other tools for static digital art.

Indeed, same here. If anyone needs pics I'll help as well. I happen to own all the MoO games as well, plus all the Star Trek Armada games, and Birth of the Federation (though I haven't seen it in a long time).

Even if we don't have source material though if it's for a faction or race mod from a show or movie or something as long as it stays Not for profit we're all good. If they do that awful milking mods for money on Steam again then charging for a race mod from a copyrighted *anything* would be illegal, so that will stay a no-no.

Having done some lite modding in the past if someone does a *Original* total conversion of a game or something I'm all for them making something from it, but, also as a modder who does something simply for his own enjoyment, no matter how much of my time or effort I put into it, I'd only take a donation and I wouldn't charge for doing it as I'd be doing it for my own enjoyment. Even the makers of the games we make don't make money off the modders original work unless they're paying the modders something or hiring them as free lance or giving them a copy of the game or something. While I've seen that happen in the past, still, we do what we do out of enjoyment of other people's work they were paid to do and I just wouldn't feel right getting paid for that.
