Why the color change? I have not yet seen an economy resource, which was green, and have not discovered if its color is changed. It would be very confusing if two resources were the same color, Also, why would the colors change from what was in GC2?
If it is a graphical bug, why would I even see a change? It was yellow on beta 5 and before and my hardware and graphics settings are unchanged.
They have changed colors, but I don't really care what color they are. I do wish they stood out a little better.

The colors are switched for me too. A lot of things are also fainter or grayer in this version. Mining resources and relics are laid under the galaxy grid, so that makes them blend into the background more at high zooms. Relic colors are dimmer and harder to see. The differences between Explored, nonExplored, FoW, non-FoW, ZoC and non-ZoC and the mix of the above get very hard to see as well.
It appears the Colors switch depending on what race you are playing. I suspect this is because the base colors blend into the UI too much when you have the grid on.
Playing Terran. And that'd be odd because the same colors are used...just for different relics...
The color is yellow close up, but turns into a green icon when zoomed out. 
. The reverse is true for economic relics. I figure the wrong color got inputted when zoomed out color icons were put back in. Away from computer at the mo, but i'll provide screenshots when I get the chance.
