Auto end turn and simultaneous turns?

Are these planned? If so when can we expect implementation?

The game takes on a massive amount of tedium without these features so it would be nice to know if there are plans to bring them in to the final product. Thanks in advance.

Something like a customizable automation menu could be quite handy :

  • do not automate
  • automate
    • turn movements
      • end of turn
      • action is required
      • transport or fighters enter your ZOC
        • always
        • unless they're allied with you
    • survey vessels
    • vessels with survey capabilities
    • miners
    • vessels with mining capabilities
    • make fleets with this or these types of ship (like a filtering rule)
    • and so on ....

I am definitely channeling Civilization V in that if there is no action to be taken on your turn, you should be able to automatically advance to the next turn with Auto End Turn enabled.

What if, in that turn, a foreign transport nears your homeworld, and since you're skipping turns, you miss it and can't get enough defenders there in time when they declare war on you and invade?

If ships have orders or their are build ques then you are not asked about them till you have to make a decision.

research can also be done this way by going into the tree and clicking on something way ahead that will take you through what you want.

basically you are only contacted when a decision is needed.

Wait so in multiplayer you and your friends aren't both able to act at the same time?  You have to wait till they are done?  If so i definitey~ want an option to allow simultaneous turns.  I know some friends who won't get the game if it doesn't have that.

Hence why it is optional. You can also cancel the automatic turn by moving a unit manually.

Same here, You literally have to wait until the other player is done moving to even issue orders or modify build queues. It's brutal.

Ohh thats terrible!!! wow.  That is really~ going to hurt multiplayer.  I had been looking forward to playing this with my friends.

Yeah but with multiplayer the way it is, you have time during your friends turn to build ships without taking up everyones time with your ship building.

I would like the ship builder to be added to the main menu though, so you can design your basic layouts the just attach the stuff you want during a game. Building a ship in game for every situation leads to alot of ugly ships.

I'm like really shocked this is a thing.  i guess different groups of people care about different things but this is a huge~ deal to me and my circle.

Bump.  Hoping to hear frogboy or someone's take on the situation.

Any devs want to comment on this? I would like to know whether it is planned or not. Thanks!

I really hope this will be implemented into the final game.

This is incorrect. You can issue orders and adjust build queues at any time; they are only executed when your turn comes up.

Simultaneous planning, sequential execution.

If you are seeing different behavior in the game, that's a bug. Please report it to the support forum and we'll look into it!

i.e. if I modify a build queue during someone else's turn, I don't see that modified queue until my turn.  It would be nice for keeping track of things to see the modified queue on my screen even if it doesn't technically take effect until my turn.

It's simultaenous turns but unit moves happen in player order.  You an give them orders whenever you want.

What about auto-end turn? Any plans to implement that?
