Activation Server

We have 80 licenses for Start8 using an activation server. By my count, we have installed Start8 on less than 70 computers, but after imaging about 60, we started getting errors that Start8 could not be activated. When we checked the server, it told us that we had 0 remaining activations. 

 

I cannot make any sense of the machine codes that it gives us, and the page to check licenses is only a list, that you cannot copy from, and you cannot actually deactivate from there, so what I am asking is, how do I deactivate the copies that are not being used, and how do I determine what computers they actually are on?

 

The IP addresses that are given in the list are mostly invalid as well.

I'm having the same issue... the installed count does not seem right but i still tried to proceed with the upgrade in quantities and have been waiting for a sales quote for the past few days now !

Hi,


We have purchased 500 licenses en using the license server for activation. When a machine has an issue it is being re-installed via an script. However it now turns out that each time also a new license is being used with the result that all our licenses are activated. We only have 425 machines so I need to free up the licenses that are no longer in use. It is not clear to us how this should be done.

We also tried to de-install and de-activate licenses from other machines via the regular way but that also did not free up licenses.

 

Can you please advice how we should free up de licenses from machine that have been re-installed or removed.


I have already raised a call [#ZOB-884-48124] almost 2 weeks ago but nobody is responding.
