P.S.: I can't seem to be able to share the link to the screenshot, does anyone know why?

Is it offered as a mod?

If not, i'd not recommand to just include it in the usual buildup. So far I understand it, the limitation of pictures offers the possibility to use your custom designed races for multiplayer.

...as for the picture... Have you tried to Insert/Edit image the raw picture instead of your mediafire html link?

Nice images btw...

I put them in My Games/GalCiv3 and all is fine.

Then I do presume, that you won't be able to use those builds for multiplayer.

The 'faction' folder seems to be used to store your in-game custom races. But, probably you'll be able to test it and give response about.  ^_^

What software package/program do you use, also in the race directory files they are listed as png yet png files in general don't work Thanks.

Hey great job and thanks for these, some feedback though,

Custom 7 has a gouge in his shoulder on the left, looks like you nicked him with the eraser. Symbol 1 and 2 seem to be slightly clipped on the right side.

Thanks!

These are nice, Apostat--you created all of these just for GalCivIII or are these from previous mods? I really like the logos too--and if you are willing to share more, feel free. I plan to share some logos soon too, but the race images I've been working on aren't quite at the level yours are at...

Are you okay if we make tweaks and modifications to these (color changes, scaling, repositioning, etc.)?

And Seilore, I've had no problem with png images for the faction FGs, portraits, and logos... so I'm not sure what you mean...

trumpeter87, I added them to the folder while in game, if you do this, they don't work, you have to restart the game to get them to show up, that was my problem.

Ah, that makes sense. Yeah--I kind of wish certain things could be changed with the game open, but I understand why that isn't the case. I opened and closed the program probably a couple dozen times as I tried to make my own ship color template...

I was thinking the reason seilore was askingis so she could use it. If this is true I'm goIng to give some possible advice on this. They do have free packages for this,  and I think paint can do this,  but not as good as photoshop,  but I would like advice on what is the best modding tools,  and what are the best free equivalent version of these.

Seilore is a HE... lol

However, yes I was asking to see what tools out there were best to use, perferably free if possible...

These are great! I'd love to see more! Especially if you have one that is human-looking. I like to play a race of humans, but they aren't Terrans. Kind of an off-shoot, or a rebellious, more violent faction from the Terrans.

Also, do you happen to have the .xml for the actual custom races you have in your screen shot? That would be amazing. Then all I'd have to do would be start a new game and choose the races and GO!

Thanks for all your work!
