Netflix sound goes away when not in foreground

All of the sudden (and inconsistently), the sound from Netflix mutes when it is no longer the active window. The sound setting under advanced is set to allow Netflix to make sound in the background but it still doesn't work consistently. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks.
