DOOM

or whatever you wanna call feedback

I was once Captain of King Leor.... ah, nevermind

Look, i don´t wanna change this game into a remote WoW-Auctionhouse-Simulationworkstation or any other form of slowprogressed numbercrunching Pennyflipper

so i´m not going to provide numerical feedback about what kind of offworld rockets are OP or UP, it´s not like we are already that played into the game as a Community to actually be able to provide reasonable measures for usefull feedback, yet.

Just some notes:

- found the patents to be too expensive (either time or chem or tilecost), i prefer to auction a patent if i want one and upgrade my facilities with the saved chems. Something to do with increasing returns when buying out competitors.

- would prefer if the Black Market would slowly unlock into the game. Every minute another black action gets revealed. There should be more actions availible but they should be randomly chosen for the session. Right now i always get confused between the EMP and Powersurge because they actively do the same thematical thing named Disable.Or maybe once a action got bought it gets switched out with another. If you need inspiration i would recommend asking the forum in a seperate thread what they wanna see, some examples:

Manipulate Terraformer : Duststorm or Solarflare or Heatwave

Orbital Magnetism: Randomly hit several big tiles with meteordynamite, can leave additional minerals on the tiles. Cant manually target. Can hit yourself.

Naniteeworkers: 60s boost to production of this tile. Mutinyprotection. Can be dynamited.

Payday: globally removes all Goonsquads. +1k dept per removed Goonsquad.

Martian Festivities: a sudden population growth.

Ghosts of Mars: slow moving anomaly that passes the map in a straight line, destroying blimps

-  had one bug where i wasn´t able to buy any shares for 1-4 minutes, till someone bought a share of my company. Maybe has something to do with a auction that interrupted my attempt to buy shares. Was on a laggy server. Had plenty cash. Pls fix.

- the resource-play is rock solid. What is not explained and documented is, if its beneficial to sell the required resources before upgrade to lower the overall cost. I always keep forgetting to test it, ..... one day.

So far i had some amazing games , for example where power reached 900 within a minute, endgame.

The thing with patents is that since each patent can only be owned by one player, they have to be sort of a key aspect of the strategy, if you lower their price then that just makes it more viable to buy irrelevant patents with "just cos" reasons. Right now they I beleive they are relatively balanced, we as a community need to just think of more strategies to actually start using them.

The thing is the game is still very complex to actually start effectively using all the tools at our disposale (I feel like patents are currently my weak suit, not because they are UP, but pulling a strategy off with them is much more tricky and mind-bending).

As far as your black market ideas are concerned, I like the ideas on paper, I'm not sure if they would work, I definitely want things like that to be moddable at some point. The thing is I don't feel like the black market is broken currently (meaning it is a completely working mechanic), that said, some time ago I felt about it like patents currently, it takes time to learn to use it most efficiently.

most of the patents except for the water ones are REALLY strong

200 energy bank - solar is viable stop you running debt at night

pleasure dome 100% - yes please this alone can be game winning trust me I've won several becuase of an early game 100k-200k advantage off of this

-50% power usage - again depends on the other power production but can be huge

carbon scrubbing - play science put electonics on a silicon = profit

slant drilling - expansion 3 cube water + adjacency - science 3 building adjacency one any one cube on the map

teleporters - no more fuel cost no more pirates
