Not sure this is a bug since I obviously broke it

So, I am playing a small game to see what's going on with culture/influence. The game was going down hill fast around turn 100 so I saved it and quit 1 turn before 2 of my planets were going to flip. I installed the new patch and loaded the game. The map now looks perfect and all borders have returned to normal. My threatened planets are now far from rival influence.

Not long after this I flipped Iridia's last 2 planets and they were out of the game. Of course being out of the game does not mean they are really gone. The shipyard and starbase around irdiia are still cluttering up the area. So, I decide why not just blast them out of the sky? What could be the harm?

I send a very powerful carrier fleet over and before I attack I am asked do I want to declare war on the Pirates. At this point I know I am fixing to break something but I say go ahead. I wipe them all out and it looks like I have gotten rid of the problem. After the next turn I get a message that my planet is being invaded and it CTD.

I reload the game from autosave and I find a white ghost fleet (including transport) on the other side of the galaxy near one of my planets. When it invades it causes the CTD

Yeah there are a lot of problems with eliminated races. Submit a ticket so they can more easily fix it when it comes time.

LOL, I reloaded and managed to avoid the pirate invasion. I was then able to wipe out the ghost pirates and the game returned to normal. :)

I guess I can claim the prize for being the first to defeat the GCIII pirates. It was actually kind of fun.

I created a ticket for you Franco fx because I'd like to gather some data on the issue you saw. Especially since it CTD. This will be helpful to the devs and to other users, so please be on the lookout for an email from us.
