I just purchased ModernMix -- Win 8.1 -- and downloaded the .exe file

When I launched the program my pc flashed a message: stopping ModernMix.  After that I get a window telling me to restart the computer.  After doing all of this I found no evidence that the program was there (except in my Program Library).  I get no start button when I right click, there is no start button in the upper right hand side of the screen.

 

WHERE DID it GO?

I'd make sure to temporarily disable any security programs you might have running, then trying reinstalling.  Sounds like something is not letting it fully install.

I would also like to know what Start button as ModernMix does not provide one of those.
