I got a Blog, Mock Trial and more!

Well, I finally got a Blog, so, ya, I'm not really sure how often I'll write in it, but I certainly will try to often.
So, ya, this weekend officially marked the beginning of the Mock Trial season. Mock Trial Red (a.k.a. 'A' Team, but don't let our coaches know I said that) Team took 4th place. We only lost to Lakeville by 5 point! 5! They're the team that beat us last year in Region finals to go onto state and take 2nd. And we only lost to them by 5! We can so beat them and go onto state! I have complete faith!
So, Lake Conference started Friday right after school and it was funny cause everyone was on edge, worried about how we would do and such and we got there and had soooooooo much time to just sit there and worry more. But, after we went into our first trial we could just really tell that we were going to be able to pull it together. We have some amazing witnesses this year that just really get into their parts. What, with Mingo, Brittany and Travis we have no worries on really racking in the points... not to mention me of course, but it's so much harder to build a character when you're working w/ this girl who would rather talk about Troybilt Bushwackers than the case. Oh well...I have some great new ideas of how to really make my character all that it can be. As well as this we have some amazing lawyers, Jim just has proven himself so much this past weekend and then there's Andy and Travis who have always been great. And Jase has really shown that he can just own anyone when it comes to objections. All and all, I can't wait to get to Regionals and show everyone that they shouldn't have ignored us for the past 7 years. Given we have not made it to state in that length of time, but we had good reason. For the past 6 years South has been in our Region, and South has won state the past 4 years or something. And last year, when South finally was out of our Region, up pops Lakeville who came in second at state. But, this year is our year! We will dominate and go onto state and beat Lakeville! I can feel it! So, anyways, the highlights of this weekend of mock trial most definitely have got to be my crosses. Both of the trials we went defense, the side i'm on, the lawyers that crossed me had previously crossed me the year before. Now, these boys thought to themselves, excellent, we'll be able to completely own this girl this year, because last year I had a crying, whining part where if they asked one question I could just pretend to break down in tears and they would feel bad. So, the first lawyer who crosses me gets up there all ready to own me, and completely fails. He actually tried to impeach me! Impeach...ME! I couldn't believe it, and he tried to do it on the most awful grounds ever! He asked me something outside the scope of my affidavit, and when I responded outside the scope of my affidavit... he tried to impeach me! Needless to say I completely owned him... ha ha ha, eat that! Then, their two other lawyers proceded to attempt to impeach both of our other witnesses and failed both times. We so completely owned them it was funny! So, the second day, against good old Lakeville, the hottest guy on the Lakeville team, the one that all the girls just drool over no matter what. I swear, he could be like picking his nose and running around farting, and I bet you there would still be girls drooling over him. Well, anyways, this is the guy who gets to cross me, and once again he goes up there all ready to own me, and asks all these questions. And you know what I did, exactly what he didn't think I'd do! Once again I strayed so far from my affidavit that there was nothing he could do about it. I was like, hahahaha! But, then when Travis went along with my story, they tried to impeach him! If they should have attempted to impeach anyone, it should have been me, but oh well. They didn't impeach Travis anyway because he is a fricking amazing witness! So, all and all this weekend has just been great for Mock Trial. It was deemed amazing about the time that Travis used the phrase 'hunkey-dorey' in his direct. The weekend was completely made when Lakeville's Al Logan dropped pizza down his shirt when he saw our Alice Logan, it was just amazing! I cannot wait to go up against them at Regionals! Watch out Lakeville because here we come!

I'm in mock trial too and was wondering what witnesses you are. It seems like you are Hoyt but I'm not quite sure. Just wondering. Do you really not like Lakeville either? I mean, they must be good if they do so well in the tournaments, or are they just lucky?

Dude, I totally know what you're saying about lakeville "popping up." Who would've expected THEM to do so well at state? Do you really think you guys can beat them? That would be amazing. I mean, have you seen their stats from the region trials so far? They pretty much cleaned up! I'm afraid to go against them in state, if they make it. Which witness are you? How did you outwit that CUTIE from lakeville? He is an amazing lawyer, as I recall. He's amazing at other things too... if you catch my drift... :) What do you think about the rest of their guys? Stone/Cartwright was cute, so was Logan... mmm... and of course, all of the lawyers are EYE CANDY!! I actually wouldnt mind sharing a hotel with them at state... I think they may be the hottest team around? How bout U?

I find it really funny that you left me a message asking if I thought Lakeville was good, when you're on the Lakeville mock trial team... yup.
