Start8 and ModenMix won't activate

Hi. I'm having problems activating Start8 and ModenMix following an uninstall and re-install of both apps.

The final part of the install for each of this applications asks for the product key - when I enter the key and click on 'activate' the dialog box just shows the spinning 'processing' symbol and gets no further (I've left it trying to activate for over 30 mins, just in case!, but ended up having to end the task)

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I was having problems with the installers for both applications - the installers were launching minimised, i.e. only showing on the taskbar, and would not maximise to allow interaction with the installer dialog box. I had to end the install task a number of times and reboot to finally get the installer to maximise - it still launched minimised to the taskbar but allowed me to maximise it by clicking on it!).

Again, any help would be appreciated.

Are you behind a firewall or proxy by any chance? That can often cause issues with the activation process.

Ideally, I'd like to look into the issue, as it certainly shouldn't be "hanging" for 30 minutes after trying to activate.

Thanks for getting back to me. I've solved the problem now - I had to install as administrator and switch off my firewall briefly for the activation.
