GalCiv III with german language?

Will GalCiv III be availabe in german?

I personaly don't need a translation, but I want to be GalCiv III a huge success in germany and therefore it must be in native language to get recognized.  :erk:

If this is not planned, please think about letting the community translate the game with a service like http://www.getlocalization.com

I would love to help with the translation. <3   :D

You will have to wait until it is close to release or after release.

The current plan is to, at a minimum, support German, French, and Russian as well. However, this process won't begin prior to release because there's a lot of text expected in the game (over 100,000 words which is, in effect, a book's worth of text).

That's because each race has its own technology tree, will have its own diplomacy conversation types, random events, and countless other small things. Imagine translating Civilization to other languages if each civilization had their own tech tree with its own description. :)

Anyone interested in helping translate the game to another language, please let us know. Need people who are reasonably technical (i.e. won't change variable names <g>).

The release date is pretty close now - so how about other languages? Will there be translations available on release?

It already is. To change the language right click on GC3 in your Steam library click on Properties then the Language tab.
