*pokes the dev team with a stick*

You guys still alive out there? Figured I would ask, is there anything else planned for Rebellion? Or has it pretty much ran its course? Haven't played it in a while (though that's mainly due to other games, lol), and noticed things have been slowing down here.

Sins of a Solar Empire is at the end of its run if IIRC. With its limited engine both the devs (Ironclad) and publisher (Stardock) have said that there really won't be more coming. I think they even said 1.82 is the final update as well but that isn't always in stone.

We need to keep poking Ironclad to hurry up its development of Sins of Dark Ages (which I have no interest in) and get going with a Sins 2 project.

That's more of a Stardock thing that and also involves networking to improve multiplayer.

Yes, but it also seems to imply there will be a patch beyond 1.82...

Doubt it'll be anything that big, though. I don't even play multiplayer. lol

*pokes OP back* Sorry, been busy. Sins: Rebellion is more or less done at this point. I won't entirely rule out a future update, but that's in the hands of Ironclad now. I'm still keeping general tabs on things here (though clearly not enough!) but have been designing a new RTS for the past year or so.

Called it. Tachyon for Sins was a pipe dream.

There's a hint at the end of this article:

There's a hint at the end of this article:

Oooo.

This ship from a yet-to-be-announced title uses the Nitrous engine, which allows hundreds of these vessels to be onscreen at once, with each turret targeting individually.

Let's see. Hundreds of space vessels, weapon banks targeting individually... that sounds familiar, somehow. :) Could it be...?

*hopes for Sins 2* TwT

So sorcerer king is one....then there is another involving the mystery ship.... hmmm

Wait....why does the 2 look fancy here? What's going on?! xD

I think you had some symbol after your 2. Maybe a *.

Anyways looking at the ship it doesn't look "Sinsy" but I'm ok with spiritual successors.

RTS + Space Ships + Lasers + Explosions = Awesome

Awesome + Independent Tracking Turrets =

It's guaranteed not to be Sins...aside from the fact that Frogboy has personally stated it is NOT Sins 2, Stardock does not have the rights to the Sins IP...if Sins 2 is to occur, it will have to be through Ironclad...

In theory Ironclad could sell the IP, but I highly doubt they would do that since it is successful and the owners personally love the game...

Yeah I see what happened, since I used the asterisks in that post...which caused the 2 to look like that. lol

2* Heh, never knew about that. xD
