When closing in windowed mode.....

Sorry, reboot seemed to fix it.

The same issue is back. The UI pops up when I close it. Is there a fix?

Modernmix starting taking me to the Metro UI for absolutely no reason when closing a desktop app. I had not changed any settings. Just uninstalled it if it's not going to work properly.

I'm still on the trial version but have the same problem: When closing a windowed metro pane (like PC setup) on the upper right red X, it jumps to the Metro Screen.

If I close by right clicking on the button in the taskbar 2-3 times until I get the small menu with "close window" and use that, then it goes back to the desktop.

If I have another window opened, like Chrome, it stays correctly on the desktop, even when closing on the upper right hand corner red X.

A reboot, doesn't change anything.

I just tried to install a gadget on the desktop and now it closes correctly. Apparently it works correctly, when there is something active on the desktop.

Not sure if you ever found a solution but I was having the same problem and just found a work around.

I found if you turn on a start menu setting that tells Windows to return to the Desktop instead of the Start Screen when all apps are closed will solve this issue you described with Moden Mix.

In Windows, Right click the taskbar, select Properties.

On the Navigation Tab check 'When I sign in or close all apps on a screen, go to the desktop instead of Start"

Press Ok, and now when you close a windowed app nothing will happen (Since you are active on the desktop already)

However, when you startup or reboot, you will not be presented with the Start screen, instead you will start at your Desktop.

I have an app windowed on the desktop and close it. On closing the app it quickly jumps to the metro UI and does something else which I can't tell what since it's pretty quick, before it closes. Fairly annoying.
