Self-made video dream not working

from Stardock Forums

 

It will always give me black background when i apply it but other video dream from wincustomize and the program itself works fine.

I searched online about the steps of creating a video dream, i followed the instruction but it didn't work.

I am using a win8.1 system with update 1.

DeskScapes engine is running too.

Is there any restrictions about creating a video dream? (i tried .wmv .mp4 .avi all three didnt work)

I know nothing about the area of codec... do i just download any codec from the internet or specific codec is needed? Thank you.

Thank you, but all i want is a single video background(⊙o⊙). Is it because i am using win8.1 so that some of the functions are not working?

I think i found the problem. Its just the video i used is not working, i tried other videos it works fine. Thanks anyway
