SoundPackager for Win 8.1?

A forum search for "SoundPackager" yielded no results, so on to my question....

At the risk of seeming snotty, can we expect, in the near future, a release of SoundPackager that is compatible with Win 8.1?  Has Stardock abandoned this software?  I've posed this query to Stardock several times — before and after Microsoft's release of Win 8.1 — and've only garnered variants of the rather nebulous reply, "Just keep checking the Forums."  Meanwhile, inquiries placed via Object Desktop Manager continue to return the prompt, "SoundPackager is not compatible with your version of Windows."

Would you folks mind terribly relating even a sketchy production timetable or other estimate?  If Stardock's decided to chuck SoundPackager out the proverbial window, would you please let us know?  It'd be appreciated muchly.

Thanks, and ciao for niao....

Hi

SoundPackager has not been updated or rewritten for windows 8.0 yet (or 8.1).  If you check the requirements page(https://www.stardock.com/products/soundpackager/) there is NO mention of Windows 8 support.  It has some issues with the OS.  The program as far as I know is not End of Life yet, so we may yet see an update for a this and maybe one or two other stardock apps that we are waiting for.

Patience is a must though, complaining and griping will not hurry it up at all. I am sure the guys n gals at Stardock will let us know when its time.

Cheers

I have to agree with the original poster on this, especially since Microsoft has stripped Windows 8 and 8.1 of their packaged sound schemes.  Seems to me that Stardock could do very well with an updated version of Soundpackager - I sure know I want it very much.

Totally agree with the sentiments here!

Some apps seem to get very little attention, whilst others seem to get more than they deserve. "Tiles" springs to mind: I still haven't found a use for it!

For me, just because there's no mention of compatibility doesn't mean it's nonexistent.  By the bye, is there a specific reason you'd assumed I'd not "check(ed) the requirements" before posting?

Though patience is is desirable, GB, it's certainly not "a must", but this is a moot point we can discuss at some other time.  However, I take issue with your inference that I was "complaining and griping" in my original post.  If this is, indeed, what you perceive, I suggest you consider narrowing the scope of your personal definitions of "complaint" and "gripe."

There's no official support for SoundPackager on Windows 8.1 at this time.  Unfortunately, I have no news right now on future updates.
