So, I made it a goal this weekend to sit down and actually try to figure out this Crusader Kings II thing. I've had it for a while but I just couldn't wrap my head about it and wanted to know what the fuss was. I had some extra money sitting around on PayPal when I sold some console games so I snatched up the Old Gods DLC.
This will forever be known as the day my soul was lost. I sat and paid attention to what was happening. I began in a war so I just stomped some random dude and took his lands. Then my vassals were angry because I had too much land. So, I sliced them all a peice and look at my traits. I was suppose to be cruel. Ok, normal I play nice but since I was cruel I had to act cruel. My first act, was to execute the nobles from my last war and make all the women in my jail concubines.
One of the nobles got all uppity joined the Catholics in their Holy War or whatever to silence my Pagan army. Needless to say I was still holding on to a sizeable army so he as well as all the other traitorous nobles became the main event of some great feast where they were sacrificed to the Norse gods.
Around this time my sister, decided to make a run for the throne. She did pretty good if it wasn't for the fact that I was still holding on to a huge army when she came by. I threw her in jail then married her off to some lowborn.
Yeah, I'm kinda hooked. I still barely know how to play but it's making sense now.
