My ABC clan will crush this pathetic "competition."

What for?

What is having a "clan" going to do for you when there aren't any other clans to play against?  This game has never had a real clan scene and we often struggle to launch single 5s games.

Here's what a real clan scene should look like.  This is what it looked like in the dying days*** of UT99 (Unreal Tournament (1999) -- the greatest online multiplayer FPS of all time):

(I managed the one called [Ri] Raging Insanity.)

***In its heyday, there were over 200 clans on those ladders, perhaps more.

WTF is Unreal Tournament?

Agree with Sanchez on this.  I don't fit the main criteria, but I am able to out-troll Huy when needed. :)  Just like I see Doci starting up his swastika clan with Grimm and a couple others....why?  What is the point?  Do you expect that there will be people tripping over themselves for huge clan matches?

The top players lists that usually get published by random players a couple times per year tend to be reasonably accurate and over time people notice certain players are always in the top tiers.  That's good enough for me.  If Sins gets a deluge of players, I'm talking like a couple extra thousand regulars, in the next couple months, then I take back everything I said.

I don't mean to hijack Hummer's (mostly dead) thread, but since I mentioned this (mostly unknown to today's gamers) classic...I thought I'd share some breaking news about it.

Yesterday one of the Epic Games devs tweeted that we are going to have a BIG announcement coming on NFL Draft day...an Unreal Tournament 4 game may be in development !!!

You ever played the tribes series, dirty? Better than Unreal Tournament in every single way.

I looked into Tribes 2 somewhat in its twilight but could never get into that game.  I'm not much of a hitscan type of shooter and it was just too hard to kill anyone.  I guess I didn't fully understand the movement either.

In  my opinion an organized UT99 5-on-5 capture-the-flag match where people have assigned positions and voice comm is the height of online multiplayer FPS gaming.  I had more fun playing UT99 5v5 CTF PUG matches than with any other game.  It felt as though you were playing an athletic cybersport.  You felt like an athlete on a team.
