Add protoplazm and slackah to troll tier.

 

Whilst a lot more up to date & generally pretty good compared to the previous list, still a lot of glaring inconsistencies which need to be addressed.

Do you have any specific suggestions, Oli? Input of a tier 0 player would really help the accuracy of the list.

Just because I apparently have nothing else to do, I have taken all listed players and put them in the order that I would pick when captaining. Lines 1 through 5 seem pretty firm. Lines 6 and 7 are getting mushy. Line 8 is pretty clear again.

These dudes are someone’s smurfs and so not listed above: Uncrustable, Pemi, Ghost [or irregular player], Vahpe

Hummer and fallen one are picked consistenly over most of the people in number 4. Newplayer, deceptive panda, khan, unsc admiral, and kfear should be in number 7. Bump rigler down to 6 and warfleet up to 5 and that list is probably as good as its going to get.

Also, add bad eye to tier 0. He is vastly underrated by many people in this community. I have seen him stop the dreaded flak rush COLD with his ingenious vette micro. Truly a fearsome player.

Thanks sinkillr! What an honor to be recommended by the troll king himself!  But, tbh, I'm as bad a troll as I am a player.

My problem with any present day effort at a player-skill ranking list is how subjective it is by nature.  The OP is always biased by personal experience no matter how objective they try to be.  Over time, a player will demonstrate different strengths, and any snapshot will only capture one view relative to the OP's perspective.  A players track record is marked more by consistency than raw talent.  I consistently suck for instance, but I know my place, and never pretend otherwise.  But I have seen players overtime that consistently amaze, but nonetheless can't admit when they phuck up, and play the blame game better than they do sins. 

In my book, the players that hold the most sway are the ones that are not just impressive in game mechanics, but the ones that carry class instead of chips on their shoulders.

If one were to rank players on their contribution to the sins mp community, the list would be weighted much differently than strengths of in-game abilities. 

Auqia, in particular, is by far the classiest player amongst us all.  You can say what you want, but he never whines, trolls, rage quits, or (openly) ridicules other players.

Guys like him should be the gold standard when it comes to player rankings.

So throw away this skill list, and start over ranking players (online avatars lol) by "class"

Seriously, if this is just a game as you say, why is a large segment of this, and other "ranking" lists devoted to players non-game tendencies and behavior as well, like - plug puller, rager, disagreeable attitude, etc.  If you notice all the references to disruptive game lobby annoyances, counterproductive time wasting, trolling, and ban worthy antics, consideration has to be given to the "Avatar's" class as I call it.

Didn't intend to agitate sensibilities there Crusty, but I certainly don't give a phlying phuck about anybody's feelings getting hurt.  Just pointing out that any attempt to compare players attributes should place value on their social profile as well.

And I keep a vase of roses next to me at all times, thank you very much.

I think I am definitely better than most in tier 3, I know I can beat MJ and quite a few other.  Just saying.  Think Khan is better than where he is at too.

Ah good i'm under rated again, time to scorch some ships and make the "best of the best" cry.  Still the legacy of my reign of terror lasts, even if I rarely post anymore or play.  :)

Put spockimpossible in god tier. Dramatically improved player. I saw him solo three tier 2 players all by himself.

Received the recognition I deserved. You have to check the number of hours people have played to really grab a sense of experience. A couple games ago my whole advent fleet of disciples was destroyed. The enemy advent progenitor was t9 and Kfear slapped it around like a pillow at a sorority slumber party with half the fleet I had. Not sure what Im missing but Kfear said he used a planetary bombardment upgrade to shred the t9 Progenitor.

Germack missing from the list. I'm not sure I'm a good judge, but I'd say tier1 / 2 material. I really don't know for sure, always so focussed on my own game to know better.

 

Archadis is missing too. Overall Tier 3 I think, but plays a top eco, so Tier 2 on that part imo. Again I'm not the best judge, he's a great guy.

 

But then again I also think the current layout isn't right. You're missing at least one tier there to separate people.

Bad-eye should really be in tier 0 IMO...

Really Brutal, ur ranking is nice but it is a trolling. Quar actually speaks english Separating Pemi and ooloo is nice because quar actually plays better when he uses oooloo acc

From my exprience, GoodLife is stronger than most of the Tier2 player. So he should be the Tier 1 or top Tier 2 player.

No, its just i beat him everytime im up against him and im nowhere near good enough to be in tier 1.
