"Projects" in manufacturing queue prevent building improvements.

At least one project, "Economic Stimulus", will prevent the building of any improvements or ships ahead of it in the queue. In order to get the improvement or ship built, the project must be removed from the queue. It is possible this happens only if the improvement or ship is added to the queue after the project is already in the queue.

I had this once but it as more that all the ships/buildings/project costs showed up as NA. So nothing would progress. I had to claer out the entire queue to fix it. and it was with the Research Project one. Maybe the same issue?

No, mine showed turns left, not N/A.

I tried this is my game, and everything worked fine, and the project placed itself ahead on the cue perfectly.

Are you talking about those special projects "Economic Stimulus", "Research Project", "Cultural Festival", and "Birthing Subsidies? These do not create buildings or ships. I have tried "Economic Stimulus" and it increases the empire's economy as long as any colony is working on that project, and the project has no production time limit -- which I would expect to be true of the other projects for their appropriate aids to your empire. With the way build 2 is working, only one of these special projects can be in a colony's queue at a time, and it can only be the last project in the queue. If you add a ship or building to a queue which already has one of these special projects in it the ship or building automatically gets put ahead of the special project. And a ship or building placed on the queue will show how many turns are left to complete it while these special projects always show NA for time left. You can see these special projects when you click the "PROJECTS" button at the top of the "available projects list".

I know.

Is there a problem with that? Isn't that how they're supposed to work? They're for when you have nothing left to do on that planet, and they get sidelined immediately when real work comes up.
