Dev Stream Tomorrow (Friday, April 4) at Noon PST

Dev Stream Tomorrow (Friday, April 4) at Noon PST

I've finally got the equipment set up and Mormegil (lead designer Paul Boyer) convinced to do a developer stream of Galactic Civilizations III at http://twitch.tv/stardock.Tune in at noon Pacific (3 p.m. Eastern) tomorrow to ask your questions live and/or see how effectively I can troll Paul on-air.

We'll keep the video up so you can watch it on demand later, of course.

I was originally planning on streaming the internal build as a preview of upcoming changes, but then the devs decided to go and push it to our Elite Founders today. I'm sure you're all very disappointed.

Drop a note in this thread if there's anything you'd particularly like to see us tackle in the stream. Right now I'm leaning toward jumping into an in-progress multiplayer game between developers, but if viewers want to see something else I'm open to suggestions.

We hope to see you online tomorrow afternoon!

Since it is an alpha build, could you play a multiplayer game ;) or somebody else. It's not like you are showcasing the AI at this moment. :)

Ah the curse of flash player,  there goes watching it on my phone.  Have to e wait until I get a chance to get on the PC.

Redoing star names. I like.

Careful. Make a backup, that counts as modding and that can be a problem in the future for you.

Is there another version of this anywhere? like on You tube currently I only get the add from that link then no video afterwards.

Odd for me the 30 second add plays fine then nothing....

Working now but seems to buffer a lot. I really wish they would ditch flash player so I could access from my phone.

Thanks for the opportunity.  It was a new experience for me, seeing a live stream of a game, and then having it be such an interesting look at the alpha process.  I may not be able to attend regularly, but it was definitely fun as a live experience.  People should try it.

So.. Is it going to happen again tomorrow?

I have to say the recorded stream for me was awful from two different locations and networks in the UK It was buffer for 3 minutes watch for 2 stype stuff and these are connections I can watch high def Youtube video on just fine both of them.

Is this any where else? I never was able to view it and was wondering if there might be a copy on YouTube or else where. Thanks.

Would be great if they would post a copy to Youtube as it is you can't watch it form a smart phone and it seems to have a few other issues.

Yes it was happening for me as well in WI, USA as well.... It would buffer horribly, I had to let it sit and load which was at an extremely slow connection to the host for some reason took 4 hours for the 40 minute video to fully load.  But on a side note I hope that they do it again.

Yes I hope they do it again but host a copy of the recording somewhere else.

We are in fact doing it again!

I'll repost the second stream to YT for sure.
