[Solved] E-Mail Apps Crashing/Freezing

Hi, first off - I LOVE this app and it honestly makes me wonder why Microsoft did not integrate something like this in the first place, at the very least into the desktop version.  Thanks for the innovation and hard work to bring us this app.

Most apps seem to be working fine, although almost all apps seem to have a problem starting in windowed mode and result in a crash.  This is not a huge deal since I just start in the modern UI and window when needed.  Still it would be nice if it ran as smooth as possible.  My main problem is when using e-mail apps.  The built in Windows mail app just flat out does not work, it will crash after some weird graphical glitching and start opening more windows which also will not work.  I can start it in the modern UI and even after going into window mode it will work, albeit very briefly but shortly after it starts the aforementioned problems.  Also, the Yahoo e-mail app seems to work just fine except that after I click a link in an e-mail and try to go back to the app, it has frozen and I have to manually close and re-open.

If anyone has had this problem and knows the solution, please let me know but if not, I just wanted to report it.

Please continue the hard work and iron out these small problems because when/if this app is running smoothly, it actually makes Windows 8 a joy to use.  Again, thank you.

It sounds like you may be using an old version of ModernMix on Windows 8.1

You need to update to the latest version.

No apps should crash when they opened windowed, so please contact support if that continues after updating to the latest ModernMix build.

Okay, now I am getting compatibility issues and it will not let me run the installer.  I tried various compatibility settings but I could not get it to work at all.  Suggestions?

It is just saying "This app can't run on this PC.  To find a version for your PC, please check with the software publisher.".  I tried different settings for compatibility but it doesn't return any errors....it doesn't do anything actually but if I try to run the installer again, it just returns the same message.

I tried updating through the About section, that's where the downloaded installer comes from.  Is there another way to do this, a better way perhaps?  I only downloaded/installed Modern Mix just the other day, I'm guessing that was not the updated version.  Is there one, somewhere?  Should I completely remove the pervious version and install the downloaded updated version?

Okay, I just completely uninstalled and downloaded the most current version (1.12).  It installed just fine, I even checked the About section to check for updates and it said that it is current.

I will see if those apps are still crashing and report back.  Thanks again for the help.

Everything seems to be in working order.  I only tried the few apps that I previously reported but if I run into any problems with any others I will be sure to post back.
