So far I haven't noticed any Founders Badge on my Avatar. Maybe posting this will cause it to appear??
Found it now. 
I would suggest going to paint, and loading an avatar for anyone who wants to have a picture. Paint comes with windows. I have a post about this.
Please anyone who doesn't have a picture check this out, and go ahead and post your opinion after you do this. This does take about an hour to post.

Works, but doesn't look like the avatar I uploaded came through. oh well.
Did you cjeck the pixel size you can only have 100 by 100 on the first and 150 by 150 on the second you probably have to resize. Please read this post and leave a comment when you are done. https://forums.galciv3.com/450709
Hmmm. I backed, have no badge but don't want to make my own in paint.
So now what do i do?
If you used your forum account to buy the founders package, the badge will show up after a delay.
If it's a different account, the badge won't show up on its own. You can email [email protected] about that.
Check check. Check one.

Test for badge, ignore, as if people don't, anyway.

And, it looks like my avatar finally updated. Guess it needed time. 
Yup, I did set the picture below 100x100--it was 70x90, actually... Still, whatever, I guess.
