[feature request] play video forwards then backwards - repeat

Can deskscapes already do this? Or can it have an option to do this? I know I could edit the video but it would be an easy way to get some videos to be used as a seamless animated backgroun.

with deskscapes 8 I can play any video like a dream as animated background! you just have to add the folder of the videos in the configuration!  settings/folders/add

I have some videos just not the usual kind. I'm wondering if these can also be played.

I've used this method for looping video and I can tell you that this does not work as well as you think. Unless the movement in the video is minimal, you will see an abrupt change when you reverse the video. Also, since the last frame will repeat itself, the video will appear to hesitate since that frame will play twice.

Uvah, porn as an animated background can be very distracting.

I have a video which is fairly 'disparate' with its animation - I won't notice that it has reversed (I think :-) ) I'll go to a video editing software - as you say, if it doesn't work very well in most cases then no reason for Deskscapes to include it. Thanks for the on topic reply. :-D

I forgot to add, as far as I know, the only software out there that you can reverse the direction is Adobe After Effects.

I'm thinking music videos. If I have say a thirty minute concert video will Deskscapes play it?
