Are you taking spelling and gramatical errors from GC2 for correction on GC3?

If so, here is one from the Ultimate edition: On settling a new colony, an event pops up with "Xenoarcheologists working on just outside the new colony ..." the word "on" should be removed.

I'd assume most of the lore for Galciv3 would need to be re-written anyway

Galactic Civilizations III will be a complete rewrite. As in any bugs/mispellings/grammatical errors from GC2 will not exist in GC3 short of random cocincidence.

On the text, perhaps and perhaps not. First, the basic story line must (self evidently) be a continuation of the back story, GC1 and GC2. That is a lot of text. I am well aware of the temptation to programmers to copy text (not code). The question I am asking is whether they want corrections to their base text or if they want us to wait until we receive some of the GC3 set.

The choice is theirs.

Even if there are grammatical errors, it will be the responsibility of those of us in alpha and later in beta to cite these errors and submit them appropriately. So long as we are vigilant in our endeavors. All we can really do (from my point of view) is patiently wait for them to release data so that we can pick it apart and submit our bug reports.

True, but is there any way we can help beforehand?

This thread is really a question to SD,  "Will it help them in their GC3 efforts to hear about errors of this nature still existing in GC2?"
