Missing candidates

When I first purchased the game I had access to some historical candidates like Reagan and Lincoln, but when I play now they are missing. Any clues as to why and how to solve this problem?

This appears to be an updating issue. When my friend and I started playing we were on version 1.02. After a game update everything went crazy and I noticed that I am now running version 1.00.000.003 or something like that. I have tried to uninstall the game but I am unable to get it back to version 1.02. I am now at the mercy of Stardock and Steam to get the correct update on the server. If I come up with anything I will post it here.

I haven't played the game in months, and yesterday, when I switched it on, I experienced the same thing. Not to mention the fact I lost all mods.

I am experiencing the same problem. Every historical candidate has disappeared! It is very annoying and it makes the game much poorer! I really wanted to play some fantasy battle between JFK and Lincoln or something like that!

I lost all my mods two days ago but reinstalled from a backup - my 'My Games' folder from Steam was reset to default for some reason. I guess a glitchy Steam update!
