A couple questions regarding the story parts in the databanks

It is said here, that the Thalan destroyed the Terror Star, and that all design plans for it disappeared. Does that mean, that there will be no Terror Stars in GalCiv 3?

It is mentioned here, that the Drath disappeared from their world. However, at the end of the first campaign mission in DA, it is made clear that the Korath wiped them out. Is this a retcon (I noticed a few of those) or only a weird way of saying that the Drath are no more?

It also says, that the Terran split up into two groups (Patriots and Mutineers). Does that mean, that we will be able to play two Terran factions in the game, or is it only relevant for the campaign?

I can't speak for certainty but it's unlikely that there will be Terror Stars available at the start of the GalCiv III campaign.

The Drath homeworld was wiped out. But the Drath aren't necessarily extinct.

As for the Terrans, that'll be explained in the campaign.  Suffice to say, the humans are pretty angry with the Drengin.

Thanks Frogboy. It's a pity about the Terror Stars, but we'll see what the expansion(s) will bring.

Makes sense that Terror stars won't be in the campaign, as it's restricted by the storyline; but what about the 'sandbox' mode?

Please note that Frogboy said "at the start of the campaign."

On a related note, and pursuant to some of the discussion that's been going on about random events, does the fact that the Dread Lords have been defeated permanently storyline-wise mean there won't be a Dread Lords event in the sandbox game? I assume there still will, but I'd like some official confirmation as "evil super-race suddenly (re)appears)" is one of the more "classic" random events - and sci-fi plotlines for that matter - and it'd be nice to see the event return.

I think this may become a matter of "wait and see". Brad really loves to provide us with surprises as the game evolves through the test cycle.
