DLC Forbidden Worlds: Can't load multiplayer saves and no "Forbidden Worlds" in main menu

Hi all,

 

my friend and me purchased Rebellion and the DLC Forbidden Worlds three weeks ago thru steam. Last week we decided to start a multiplayer game, so we played the first day with great excitement.

Next day we want to continue our last day game we expierenced a problem: The host (me or my friend) loading the game and get a red message:

"This save file requires the following DLC file to play: Forbidden Worlds."

The game is ready to join, but when the client connects he gets a popup:

"Network Error: Your Galaxy Scenario File differs from the Host's."

The client can only click on Exit, so he can't join the game (both LAN/IP and ICO).

So we checking version info at main menu and found a difference there.

My version is "Rebellion V1.52.4792", my friend is "Rebellion V1.52.4792 Forbidden Worlds".

So i think thats could be the problem, i verified game cache, but no change, reinstalled it, but no change. I checked my game properties DLC tab, perhaps the DLC is missing, but it is not. It is noted there.

So, after playing a while solo i realized, that the DLC was installed, because solo games have all contents of the DLC (e.g. planetary specialisation, new planet types, etc.). So what happend here?

I replied a similar post last week, where Yarlen told me to send both saves to support in case of the multiplayer load problem. That was done last week thru creating a ticket. But there was no response from support till now.

So i decided to make a post on my specific probs i noticed and hoping someone could help beside support.

Greetings - Support indicates that they haven't received anything from you yet.  Did you get a Ticket number from the auto-response we could use to look things up?

Any news about that bug?

 

Exactly the same problem. We are 4 pleople having this issue.

 

First played with one friend. Both have the dlc and bought the game by steam. We played yesterday, stoped and wanted to continue this day. We got that error message.


We startet another one with 2 other friends, they also bought the game by steam. Same result.

 

Only one of us 4 dosn't have the DLC. We played for couple of hours. One crashed and again that message when we tried to open the last game with the last savegame.  (we also tried some of the autosaves... 

 

We startet a new one and testet again. Same problem. Right now we can't play online or play only small maps wich you can finish at one evening.

So right now that great game i'm so addicted too is broken. :-(

Sorry to hear that, but support found the bug and it will be fixed with the next patch.

I wrote a mail to support for release date, but no response after a week.:(

So we have to wait.

Great to hear. I was searching the web, but couldnt find anything to that one. Really glad if they found it and looking forward to the bugfix.  :beer:

 

Any clue about how long we might wait? A guess should be enough. I bought it for some guildfriends from my gamecommunity and there could be quite more people getting interesstet in the game.  :rofl:

I have no idea, when the patch comes out. Perhaps Yarlen knows it.

I searched the forum and the web again, but couldnt find anything. There isn't any workaround for now till the patch may arrive it seems?

 

(Btw. 7 guildmates now totaly addicted. Always seeing them playing singleplayer. Wuahahaha!)

We don't have a date yet, but odds are we'll be including it in a long beta with other stuff.

60 days gone without any hot fix or patch. Tech Support, why u dont fix this problem we have. I will think 10 times in the future, when to buy a new game from Stardock.

Im really disappointed.

There is a beta patch out there that is suppose to fix it. Have you attempted to use that and see if it fixes it? Official release is suppose to be next month so it would be nice to see if it does fix the issue.

Thanks for the info, didnt realized the release of a beta patch.

What i can say is, my Version is "Rebellion V1.79.4804", but the DLC Forbidden Worlds is not identified. So no fix here.

Trying MP game later.

Good news. Beta patch fixed the problem with MP, but not the version display, but of cause, its only cosmetic nature. Thanks.

Hmm, we'll be releasing 1.80 this week. It may fix your version display issue as well.
