Stardock RightClick

I am desperate to get a copy of Stardock RightClick. they have discontinued it,and I can't find it anywhere.I would be grateful if anyone can send me a link.I have never had this program,so it isn't a case of reloading it.I didn't even know it existed, until I signed up for an account. Most of my top programs are from Stardock, and their progs are always so full of eye candy.Anyway, sorry for babbling,if anyone has a link,ai would be v.grateful.Regards...

not sure why you want RightClick as it is a Legacy program and no longer supported by Stardock.  It worked on XP not sure about Vista but was not updated to work on Windows 7.

The only way folks have access to it is that they had a subscription to Object Desktop when it was a supported program.

Redistribution of the software is not permitted under the license agreement.

R-Click ran on 32 bit Vista, never tried it on 32 bit Win 7. It won't run on 64 bit. The program was nice but time marches on and RC didn't.

One word: NextStart.

Carl, how does NextStart help a guy who wants Right Click?  o_O

Right Click and NextStart really are two very different programs.

You can build menus with both of them ? I use NestStart as a working substitute for rightclick. Of course I have switched it to scrollwheel click, other than that it works the same. Don't use the taskbar part of course.

And what to tell someone who looks for a non available program ?

I'm going to take a look at that.  It never occured to me to use NextStart without the taskbar, which I don't use, and this menu setup looks very interesting. Thanks, Carl.

Best thing is: That menu is pretty what comes out of the box. Tweaked a little 'inside' that's it.

Since RightClick is no longer supported by Stardock and they show a price of $14.95 on that link I would be very suspicious of that site.

EDIT:  I checked in Stardock IRC with the folks and they say the link is okay.

Carl, no need to be sorry. I learned something from you. I didn't know NextStart would allow to build a right click menu. I would be most interested in you telling me how to do it, please.

Ok, figgered it out. But now when I middle click to open the menu, it also shows my fences which should remain hidden. I see no right click choice in setup.

I have fences set to quick hide/show on double click, not middle click.

another program you could try is called right click extender which is available from the windows club (google it), Not skinnable per say but it does take on the style of what ever theme you happen to be using. Also it comes with preset things that you can add and you can't add other things. Might be worth a look. Rightclick can have some problems running on windows 7. Even the 32 bit version sometimes. 64 bit version it does kind of work, but not very well. Hope this helps :)

In the preferences>hotspots section, you can set pretty much any trigger you wish. It's an awesome program.
