What are the advanced tactics in this game? I already know all of the basic/intermediate ones, like turret expanding, killing constructors, not attacking sb with vettes, etc. I am of intermediate skill (can play eco/frontliner well), so advice like "build MOAR Ships!" is not helpful. What I'm asking for are the so called "trade secrets" that every multiplayer game seems to have, such as the fact that apparently skirmishers and cobalts are way more effective at killing a starbase than disciples.

 

Any help is appreciated!

Im not trolling, i fail to see why you think so. I have even written a small guide how to test it for you, THIS was the original topic of discussion not some random scenario where badly skilled Marza and 50 (?!) cobalts attack the orky versus a prog with Shield restoration(?!) and 62 discs. You have just tested something completely irrelevant which wasnt even discussed and argued about it. I havent seen the replays but Sin says there are at the very least inconclusive and badly "staged". If you were going by those number TEC would have ARMOR upgrades vs advents Attack upgrades and i suspect numbers will be heavily skewed towards TEC anyways.

Seleu im sick and tired of just getting abused by you when its very unwarranted so whatever, just believe what you like but stop calling everything is a myth just because you cant comprehend/agree and willing to test it yourself. Its been tested by many skilled players before, including myself and at the very least it worked as described above prior to 1.50. I told you go test it yourself with above conditions and it will put an end to it.

Also Cykur is so far away from a skilled player and have done a completely wrong test as well,i dont know why you would even bring it up. He has 0 credibility. Its not a secret, not a myth but common knowledge that allowed skilled players not to be rolled by OP Vasari especially prior to 1.50 as you would know what to do as soon as you saw the signs of it happening.

Noone is trolling you, noone is playing you and there are no conspiracy theories here. If you are indeed the ones who is, then congrats for the effort as it even beats Riddleking's futile attempts.

You completely missed the point of the original posts as well (previous threads about it too). They were designed to HELP new players to get into the game as fast as possible and shed some light on certain things you can do. I have mentored quite a few players by now and am always available on steam for any help or questions. Some of the mentees become pretty competent on ICO now as well. So at the very least please stop ninjaing those threads where you have no intention to help anyways and just derail the threads for no reason.

He can do whatever he likes however i havent played for a couple of weeks :). He can do whatever he likes and hopefully next time i see him in the game i ll be able demonstrate it to him first hand.

First person to do the test was the OP himself...I merely contested his results because he did not use equal fleet supplies and so I posted a fairer trial of his test....Sinkillr contested my results with another trial of the OP's test...I can't speak for the OP, but neither me nor Sinkillr were performing our tests to mimic a realistic early game scenario...it was merely a discussion on discrepancies in results for what was seemingly a fairly straightforward test...

I wasn't laughing at his expense.  Zombie had just informed me that Jingly was bashing me in the forums saying I was a completely unskilled player with no credibility, etc.  I was more laughing that his comments were funny and I don't care what he thinks.  I don't require his validation.

This started because in a previous thread it was asserted that Advent are not capable of defending from an Orky rush because their LF was inferior.  I argued that this wasn't true, Advent was just as capable of fighting off an Orky rush as TEC.  I never said anything about which race is better at attacking already built Orkies.  I'd agree that Advent will take more attrition if the Orky is built simply because their ships are more fragile, and more reliant on shields.  But as for stopping a rush at one of their worlds, Advent are just as capable as TEC, assuming they get a nice headstart on the Orky.

I wouldnt listen to zombie, hes just self-indulging in pointless trolling and misinformation. All i said was that your test was wrong, since it didnt even follow the scenario outlined. Also you were at best average when the original thread was created. I have seen you play in last few days as i was watching some replays, and you have improved alot since those days. I heard you were inactive for ages so that migth explain it.

Btw, i was easily top 5 skilled players on ICO when i was active in April/May, and was consistenly third pick behind Grimm/Doci in every skilled game, or first pick as those 2 capped often. So im not sure what this is all about.

Lets not burn bridges where its not neccessarily and go on hearsay, im actually quite nice online! :P
