The AWESOMEST thing just happened!

Good Morning Stardock

So, I'm in a game and suddenly a bunch of plauge stalkers comes out of the plaugelands and conquers one of my cities! Yes I said it...CONQUERS!

A new faction started up, the 'wildland' faction and my city became their capital. SO AWESOME!

Can this be worked on and modified further? Like, the city be a spawning point for more creatures of the wildland type that conquered it?

Can the wildlands spread to incorporate the territory of the city?

Can this please be done for ALL roaming monster types?

Like I stated in my title, it was awesome! I had to put together an army and move them to attack my city again and take it back over. If there was additional urgency to this action (aka, if the city became a spawning point) then that would add even more dynamic.

ie, this was WAY more fun than having the city RAZED....

That is awesome.

I'd love to see this as a feature.

War of man and wraiths... the monsters will rise up.

 Sounds good.

Yeah I'd love it if monsters would conquer the cities instead of just razing them.

That is indeed, very awesome.

Would be well cool to have monsters capture cities and they become "Wildland" owned.

Yeah....I'm not even sure if what happened there was a game glitch or not....but it did happen....and I'd love for the possibility to exist for it to happen again.

Why can't Smaug take over a city and spawn little drakes??

Very cool, hope it wasn't some weird fluke.

That's just what I was thinking  :D

Well if this process works consistently why not make a wildlands that has Smaug in it and he would be a custom faction that only produces little drakes when he has a city to control.  When one of his minions leaves his wildlands or he himself then he could capture a city and start producing little drakes to terrorize the world as you have described.  So custom faction, set that faction to be within a wildlands, custom units for that faction, create wildlands and stamp for it, add all to game and done.  LOTS of work but the end effect would be pretty cool if this is valid.

I just had a level 3 fortress conquered by a dark mage army... I took it back from him a couple of turns later and he was supplemented by city militia and archers... it would be cool if he had made some changes and reinforced with other dark spell casters or something new and different.  Next time this happens I think I'll wait and see what he does over time.

Has SD made a change to this game that we are unawares of?

Well, monsters from the wildlands are actually from a faction - wildlands - so if they can from WL, it makes sense why it didn't auto raze.

If Dark Wizards take cities, though, then something must have changed. Can't think of a WL that has Dark Wizards.
