For the next 20 hours, the map pack is on sale on Steam for 1.69.

 

I'm still unclear on whether the steam version of this DLC will work with the game if you bought the game from Stardock.

i was not able to purchase it because i did not have the Steam version.   Steam said sorry you need the game to buy this.

Obviously you have the money to purchase games twice, but some people doesn't O_o... Which is also why we don't pay 5$ for a map pack.

Wow. Another fail by steam. If you own the game, you should be able to buy other content/dlc/expansions from steam for that owned product.

Welcome to HOW STEAM WORKS. ;) It's the same if other sites get distribution rights. If you don't have the Steam version you can't get the DLC through Steam either if you don't have the main game through them. Much like you're seeing what is happening now. And people say STEAM IS GREAT lmao

Can always buy it as a present (what I did) and add it to library later. Bummer if that shouldn't work if the steam keys are distributed. Alas its only 1,69 $ (less converted in €-Land from where I hail). I'm fine if I have to write such a slim sum off even on a slim budget... Still silly that the block is in place but not for gifts. Why have it then at all?
