"Your galaxy scenario file differs from the host's"

EDIT: try not to rewrite anything in the game's files, only if you put it in an own minimod, because you will forget about it and it will cause some trouble later

Hi.

I understand many online players want friend only games, or passworded ones, that OK. I even got used to only being able to join 10% or around this percentage of games in theory, BUT

what is that thing that further reduces my rare opportunities of online gaming (available games number)? About near one-third of the hosted team games say this message, even when I know my friend is the host who has the same version like me and no mods, it is randomly occurring I can't figure out the reason.

"Your galaxy scenario file differs from the host's"

Does anyone knows what is this? It is really annoying as there aren't many matches and getting this message freaks me out..

EDIT: issue solved I think, the cause was that I modified a map file and forgot to place it in a minimod, so the game for multiplayer could not use the version the others had, the original one, strange 2 numbers in a .galaxy file could completely mess up everything about Random medium maps..

It sounds like maybe you've got a corrupted file.  Try validating the install.

I don't think that is the issue, I can play online, and have played almost 80 matches, but still sometimes i face this message and don't know why..

your mod checksum is different or something, so that is another message.

I FOUND OUT WHAT IS CAUSING

I forgot to rewrite to the original version the random medium map file :/ when I played against AI in European autumn, I modded only this file to have reasonable artifact and bonus chances (65% bonus, 25% artifact I think from the original 40% and 15% which are extremely low, got disappointed in finding 1-2 stuffs on 10 planets -.- ) to have a reason for exploring... And then I got to multiplayer in November and completely forgot about it. (I only changed that file as I only played that map, the other ones much rarely).

And guess what, I forgot to change it back. And yes, now I remember this problem only occurred when I tried to join a 2v2 game... Man I am so forgetful sometimes. And now I understand why noone wanted to join my 2v2 games LOL

Anyway it's strange noone thought about it before :D
