Something I want to say as a new player, hope u can read it, XD

       Just got the rebellion recently, this year. Its a great game when the first time I play it,also help me met some gd friends who love this game too. Im still practicing though,   :grin:

       Im a chinese but living in Canada now(which means my English isnt that great, hope u guys can understand it perfectly, ;) ), and I usually talk with my Chinese friends in chat group on the internet . X-wing, Lazy_Star, MiyaQueen, suzhijiang, etc. I believe some of u guys knew them, they r nice ppl, lol.

       During the chat online I heard about zuoan’ s recent behavior(who r also in our chat group) I  talked with him online b4, I figured out that hes the kind of person who treats things seriously and proud to be a Chinese (maybe a little bit passionately patriotic thought, sometimes its a gd thing, sometimes not. U know what I mean,   ) 

       And I knew that he used some strong words on the ICO to some1 else, some of u might got a little bit offended.  BUT Im sure he didnt really mean that, since as the English is second language (aka ESL, lol) speaker the culture and language barrier r so great which can bring lots trouble ,I believe most of u understand that, specially those who experienced it b4.

 

       every1 likes to be winner, I think thats same for u and so do I. Its common that ppl get a little bit low when they didnt do so great in the game, and do something unreasonable is understandable too

 

       I think most time he didnt really have any idea that hes words really mean in english culture because he experienced a different culture in China. Specially, for some1 who doesnt really know the word truly mean. Besides as an ESL speaker there isnt really lots english words we knew so that we can really choose, because of that it can even cause a huge misunderstanding sometime( which is a understandable mistake)

 

       Since those were not serious actions, pls treat those things as such, ^_^

 

       Trust me that he means nothing personal, : ) and I as a Chinese, Im apologize about hes recent behavior and the inconvenience some of u may had experienced. And hes behavior doesnt means we agree with it or we like to do the same, many of us tried explain this b4 but the language barrier made many of us to keep silence,   X|

 

        Its my first time post in the forum, dont really know where should I post this, hopefully u guys are willing to help me to spread the words, (show other the link will be perfect,lol) or u can leave the comment and question bellow I will try my best to answer it,  :thumbsup:

              well, looks like he doesnt appreciate it at all

 

              but I think u guys already understand that the population of china is large which is fulled of many kinds of ppl, thats reasonable  :grin:   

             

              As a chinese I hope everyone enjoy the time with this game and ignore the gaps between different ppl, this game is control by human, thats y its fun and sometimes brought little inconvenience.


              After all, its just a game, dont need treat it too seriously ;)  hope u have a wonderful day :thumbsup:

   well, I saw lots ppl in Canada and America do insulting online 2, but I never thought that means they all the same ;)

 

 

   Besides the differences are the most remarkable thing for being a human, different ppl made different choices, they gonna pay their responsibility soon or later, there are consequences. The only thing we can do is respect their they choice,  :thumbsup:  

 

    there are many kinds of ppl in China just like anywhere else, never condemn the whole nation, thats unfair ^_^

       sry, i didnt understand what do u mean my real number?  

       

        Didnt have a forum acc b4, bcz never thought I gonna need it. The letters here are so tiny, they are hurting my eyes  ^_^'

 

       I was on the rush for signing up the forum account, bcz the recent event made me think I should claim something immediately b4 it cause further misunderstanding not only just for Chinese but also for others 2. Didnt even think about     change my e-mail address 2 a nick name,(I didnt see the option for setting my nick name though ^_^' )

 

        funny thing is I forgot the password right after I signed up, u guys will understand how suddenly this comes to me bcz I didnt know the event until I talked with friends in the online chat group which are the other Chinese. They all worried about this and tried to claim the same like I did but the language barrier let them can do nothing so I think I should be the one to do it |-)

        so totally forgot need edit my profile, its nothing to be proud of it though X|  

 

        Beside, my nick name is not important, Im a regular Chinese guy just like any1 else  :grin:

 

        But honestly, could any1 tell me how to change my nick name? just a number is little bit weird for me 2  ^_^'

It is a joke. There's a phrase you say if you just meet someone you are suspicious of, like "Okay, Bill, if that is your real name". Your user name is not a name though, so he changed it to number. I think he is just kidding with you though. ;)

I think you can change your user name somewhere in the "My Account" option at the top of the screen.

 

I do not play online all that much, but I have played with Shuzi a few times. I am sure it is a good thing to have a thread where both communities can communicate with each other.

       I checked the options "my account" and "my profile" didnt find where 2 change my nick name hope its not too late

        there are only some options to set my real name and personal info though, which is not quite what Im looking for :\

       I want be addressed by my name not my number,  |-)

Okay, go back there, and right next to the "Profile" tab, there should be a tab called "Login". You should have the option to change your user name and/or password there.

Yes, it was my attempt at being clever because a number for a username seemed quite odd to me.  And thank you though because I got a rather good chuckle out of it :-)

You know sometimes we insult friends of ours just to troll....it isn't actually hateful....

And sometimes we just troll...no harm done....

      well, believe it or not, we do have some word that similar in Chinese which is "keng" in letter form, we mostly use it at same occasion as "trolling" in Chinese :grin:

       First, my English is better, I believe thats not hard to tell

       

       Second its really easy too check whats going on once u join the Chinese Chat Group online (foreigners welcome if u dont mind read Chinese) |-)

 

        Third, why wound I waste my time for this nonsense if Im him? X| and I think u are not only doubting my personality but also my intelligence 

 

        Forth, u can ask X-wing, Lazy_Star, MiyaQueen or suzhijiang if any of u guys that doubts my honesty :thumbsup:  (but I doubt any of them will tell u all the details, the language barrier is unavoidable :S )

Cultural differences can be like landmines.  My wife freaked out the first time I touched the top of her head.  She is Thai.  Thais also have a thing about touching things or pointing at things with your feet.  And not all Thai care about such things so even the rule is the exception.  

I don't have a clue how the Tec and Vasari are ever going to work together, even if the rumours are true.
