Ban Faernal from our 5v5's? He just dragged out a long-since decided game.

Should we ban Faernal from our 5v5's?  He just dragged out a long-since decided game in spite of the fact that 3 of the other 5 players on his team had quit and it had been clear for some time that his team was going to lose.  Players on the winning team were politely asking him to gg it.  Of course, my game minidumped, which is a small victory for him I guess.

doesn't sounds like Faernal. Sounds more like a desynch to me. It's rare but it happens.

Dirty were you in the game with me in it? I politely asked him to leave too but he wouldn't and it ended in minidump for me. 3 people also left but could not recognise you in the game? Were you in the game where Jbaum gg'd earlier after I killed him but faernal played on or are you talking about a different game?

This particular game was not a desync I'm afraid.

If in fact a player knowingly prolongs a game out of spite, that is unacceptable.  Did he chat at all during this period?  In any event, it would be uncharacteristic for him to pull such a stunt, but it's hard to chastise someone for one incident.  If it turns out to be a pattern, then folks might consider not putting him in games.  But everyone has "off" episodes, and if someone gives assurances they "won't do it again", I would give them a pass (at least until they do it again).

My guess it was isolated situation.  Ask him about it, or get a response from him before out and out labeling him a griefer.

this guy isn't even good either.  he cost my team the game a few days back because i overestimated his skill, which in reality is equivalent to that of a certified vegetable.

besides its better to ban first and ask questions later

Yes.  That's the game I was referring to.  I was in the game as "Solar_Eclipse" (the one where I was gang-banged 3v1 but managed to hold my home thanks to some feed and enemy noobishness).  We were talking to him and for some reason he just refused to quit even though we asked several times.

Realistically, he isn't a habitual game-dragger as far as I know.  I just hope that he reads this thread and takes it heart that dragging out games is lame.

Faernal has dragged out games in the past....he does it to troll, for the "shits and giggles" of leveling his titan with noobish attacks and such...it isn't common but he does do it, especially when he feels the other team needs to "earn" their victory...

One game every once in awhile is annoying....nearly every game (like zoomers and kbroke back in the day) is a true problem....

Of course, things have changed...ICO has more new blood so the question is:  how much affect does one troll still have?

Add Archa-Ra and RedTank to the list of non-quitters.  I  had planned to just let my Sins run in the background until they either "won" the game (after the players on the winning team had either left or stopped playing) or they quit, but it minidumped while I was playing Unreal Tournament (lol, big surprise).
