Unit should move INTO the TILE after winning a battle

There. In military terms, winning a territory means seizing it. No bigger disappointment when you win a battle, and someone else picks your goody hut.

Every other game gets this, and does it right.

Oh, yes, they should...  It just makes no sense that I need two full turns to kill a bear and loot its lair, unless I have master scouts or a compass.

I would also like to have the option to choose between [Attack] and [Attack&Move]  If you feel that they should not cost the same, it's [Attack] which should cost more.  After all, you do the walking to get to the fighting.

I agree. I also think tuidgy has the right of it in having an option to attack and move or just attack.

I like the way it works now. It allows you to attack an enemy stack without ending up next to a second enemy stack weakened after the battle and with no movement points left.

Moving would make it harder to clear areas with several stacks. I don't know if that would be a change for better or worse.

Current implementation has some serious problems occasionally. You can wipe out a powerful monster army and then an enemy gets the spoils since he moves before you get a chance to enter the lair.

This is why I am asking for a choice between conquering and clearing a target.

Right now it is just annoying to have to waste a whole turn in 'traveling' to the location in which you fought last turn.  And doubly so if someone else beats you to it.  Careful play will avoid this, but at an opportunity cost.  Those are sometimes good, but not in this case.

Yes, please change this.

It is especially annoying if you're inside a city: you have absolutely no clue where your army will end up, except that it's somewhere next to the army you were fighting...

Don't attack from inside a city. Instead first move the army you wish to attack with out of the city and next to the enemy you want to attack. This does not cost any movement points(as long as the tile you are moving onto is next to the city) and you have control over where the army will end up.
