Downloaded DreamMaker on Win8, but when trying to start I get a message telling me that it got compatibility problems. When searching Windowns I read that I got to have to purchase Visual Studio first, and then ...
Well, I did not plan to purchase VS - so is there any options anyone would know ?
I don't believe it is supported for Win8. Maybe someone will come by and correct me...
waxplayer would be correct. DeskScapes and DreamMaker are not yet supported on Windows8.
Dreammaker itself being blocked on Windows 8 is a mistake by Microsoft.
Deskscapes 3.5 should be, but Dreammaker was not supposed to be.
Visual studio would have no impact on this.
For those still having issues, I just renamed DreamMaker.exe in program files and now it works.

confirmed. added a space to make DreamMaker to Dream Maker and it now works.
