HA I have proof in this screen shot (actually 3) that the monsters do not attack AI.

It's a picture of an AI caravan and a monster unit on the same tile.

Now I saw the monsters move to the caravane tile and they didn't destroy it (unlike my caravanes.. )

P.S Normal/normal

1:

Monster unit:

2:

Caravane unit:

3:

the shift between the two so you can see it's the same save and all:

P.P.S I can also upload the save I guess :D

Edit:

Fixed the images :D

Quoting seanw3, reply 17Some I noticed is that caravans can move through monsters. I have many routes going through areas with 10-50 monster armies. It takes several trips before the caravan dies. It is generally able to move through them. In the context of the OP, I see no conclusive proof of your conclusion.

I think the problem here is that people just assume that there is some code making this happen. We don't need to convince the devs to find that code and delete it. We need to convince them to add a ton of logic to monsters that sets very clear parameters on their movement and attacks. There might not be any code allowing caravans to move through monsters, but there needs to be some code forcing a battle when they are on the same tile.

Thats really well explained Sean, gj

As I said.. The Monster unit MOVED into the same square as the caravan.. And yet it is still alive as SHOWN IN THE SCREENSHOT..

lol how much more conclusive do you want it? the save file maybe? God am I tired.. Bed time I guess :)

The fact of the matter is it has almost been a year later and the 'Enemey Empire AI' is still treated as friendly by the monster & ruffian AI. Only 1 faction (and any player made factions with it) with the 'invincible' caravans trait should be having their caravans not attacked by anything. Only EE AI troops with stealthy should be able to move as freely as they do, and even then not as much as they do. There is no way all their troops have stealthy on. It was about 50 turns in-game and I ran into a EE AI player and he was at 521 compared to the next at 60 or so and me at 17 or something. (I have the densest/strongest M&R AI on, many events and stuff on) The only way he could have gotten there, I imagine, is if he found Curgen's Imperium city and founded a city there - I have never been in one so I don't know what it looks like inside, just that you can build a city in there - that completely proves the point of AI 'cheating.

Before this I took over a city in another game that was right next to a slag or drake. After that I just made a city in a relatively safe place and left two extra troops in there (this is early game so they ain't strong, but still) and the M&R AI decides to attack it within 15 turns.

The diplomacy and how they treat you as compared to others in most games has mainly sucked with AI, but if people were complaining about it over a year ago couldn't they have fixed it by now?

I wouldn't have to play catch up in so many games if the developers fixed this so that the ai was treated like I was. Instead they can go around the map snatching up all quests and treasures without a care in the world.
