Can we still do local MP with one copy?

The original game, up through Diplomacy, said it allowed the game installed on up to 2 computers for each copy purposed, to allow local Multiplayer games.  Is there a way to do this with Rebellion or does every player need their own copy due to being on Steam now?

I imagine with one computer having the game launched with Steam in offline mode you could pull off local MP.

On a side note, I exited the game without doing anything, and gained a military victory and 3 achievements....I'd feel cheap about that If I hadn't had those in Trinity already.  :grin:
