[0.951] Takes 20 seconds to bring up either Save game or Load game

Windows 7, 64 bit Pro. nVidia GeForce GTX 690 video card (my drivers are up to date).

It takes approximately 20 seconds from clicking the save button to bring up the menu box to save a game, and approximately the same amount of time to bring up the menu box to load a game. Actually saving and loading takes the same amount of time from the 0.95. This is on a fresh install of the game with no mods and not using a custom sovereign.

Can quick-save with absolutely no problem.

Looks like the time is based on the amount of save games you have in your saves directory.  We are looking into it (I suspect its reading through the gameplay times).  In the short term if you would like to speed it up you can remove your old saves from your save directory.

That worked like a magic trick. I cleared out 111 save files and now save/load is damned near instantaneous. Thank you.

Just a quick update on the issue, guys.  We have addressed the cause of the slowdown here at the office.  The fix will be in a future update.  Thanks for reporting about it.
