Cannot play galaxy forge map

Hello,

I just bought Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion on Steam and I want to
create and play a galaxy forge map.
When I save my map in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sins of
a solar empire rebellion\Galaxy Forge I cannot find it in the Galaxy Forge
tab in single player create game.

I also tried saving the map into C:\Program Files
(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\sins of a solar empire rebellion\Galaxy as
well as C:\Users\Brian\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\sins of a solar
empire\GalaxyForge and neither of those worked.

I also tried updating galaxy.manifest, incrementing the file count and
adding the file name and that did not work.

Please help me with this! This is the primary reason I bought this game.

orciencor has given the CORRECT locations for maps(to show up in the galaxyforge page) made with the included in steamapps\sin rebellion\galaxyforge galaxyforge.exe, but if you attempt to load a map made with the downloaded galaxyforge3 from the downloads page in rebellion rebellion WILL CRASH to DESKTOP since rebellion v1.02 no longer knows HOW to correctly read maps fro the older galaxyforge.

there is a couple of map updating tools to convert maps from older map formats to the current sins/rebellion formats and both are still in development ie still being improved/made more reliable.

Copy map to [<game installation>|<mod_directory>]/galaxy directory then add map to <game installation>|<mod_directory>/galaxy.manifest file which can be edited by notepad. That is the way i used to do.

namvfpx, that method works till the next update, when the extra files are deleted, and the older files overwritten, so the better choice IS the \my games\sins...rebellion\galaxyforge folder.
