this is getting stupid.

I'd rather see more moderation to delete pointless topics like this one. I miss the days when this forum actually talked about Rebellion, reported game issues, and posted solutions to game issues. If there's not more moderation then I want to see Ironclad and Stardock become more visible to discourage pointless posts. I'd really hate to see this place turn into the Battlefail 3 forums. What a train wreck!

That requires something to talk about. Beta 3's issues have already been discussed to death, and since there's no beta 4 and no real two-way communication from the devs on what they're going to do about balance, there's been nothing to do for a few days.

So there was a few days of silliness instead of a ghost town. It's not a big deal.

If mods didn't like it they would have locked it. So shooo you forum nazis.

Is the fundamental reason for all the recent trolling...they rely mostly on a small group of "trusted testers" to get their advice and anything the community says is likely to be ignored...issues inherited from original sins are still in the game, so it's not hard to fathom why some forum members feel simply ignored...I mean really, why take the time and effort to make constructive criticism when it simply falls on death ears...it's easier to simply say "screw the forums" and just go mod it yourself or just make trolling threads to have fun....

SD has no grasp on game balance, the crucial part of the MP experience...the devs and the MP community are universes apart when it comes to skill, so it's hardly surprising they don't see eye to eye...many of the very active community members contributing to the troll mayhem simply feel ignored and disenfranchised...

Then you have fanboys and SD loyalists trying to defend Stardock, which just adds more fuel to the fire...

Unfortunately that really doesn't work. And so long as it remains harmless inanity, there's not really any cause to lock anything.

The trolling thread is not intended to hurt or ruin the reputations of people who frequent the forums...

rather, it's meant to simply poke fun at the things that we think are funny about those people

Yeah, but quite frankly, he had a point. Beta 3 was ridiculously unstable, and they write about increased stability? WTH?

He didn't flutter his eyelashes and said 'pretty please'.

PC Gamer probably isn't playing with beta 3 when doing reviews, and I'd imagine work was put in on that issue.

I think that the PC Gamer review was utter crap (as in they said some things that make no sense at all in any context)

but I'm not going to say it in the same way as Qu4r
