Corporate Firewall hopping?

Hi!

I'm trying to run the new Stardock Central at work, but it says "We're sorry, but something went wrong while trying to log you in. Please try again!"

I don't need to use a proxy to get through the "firewall" here, but some software titles are fooled into thinking I do. Are there settings I can configure somewhere to make sure that isn't the problem?

Thanks!

Is there a firewall or proxy server in place?  I'd give the IT guys a poke and see if they can shed more light on the issue.
I know that before I worked at SD all their sites were blocked at my office because the game production set off blacklist alarms.

You may already know this, and I only mention it as a temporary workaround, but anything Stardock Central would install, you can get an installer for from here:

http://download.stardock.com/

That way, while you try to get SDC up and running, you can at least get your stuff installed.

Thanks Zubas,

There are folks here that are unable to turn off their proxy settings, but I'm not one of them as it screws up some of the VPN connections I have to traverse. I run everything without proxy settings, so that's why I don't understand what's going on with SDC. I don't think my "Help Desk" folks are going to have a clue. :/

We use Microsoft Firewall Client for ISA Server, but I have to disable it to do my work. Is there anything I can run to help verify this?
