As the tin says. I have tried twice to get this achievement but each time, It does not trigger even though I did all the necessary steps. Is there additional steps now? Or is the code corrupted?
I have the same problem, I spent three hours working on it, so my military forces are a bit lacklustre at this point and are being beaten back because I only intended to go for the achievement, switch out and do the military one, but lack of achievement is sad.
I haven't tried this before, but I tried another 3: money / metal / crystal lender. I am very sure I have "donated" at least 30,000 crystal and metal to my allies, and they are still locked.
And another complain, the limit that giving others 100 credits / metal / crystal each time can drive one mad easily. I just became a clicking monkey for about several minutes...
Hold Shift while clicking. You'll give 250 each time instead of 100. Also works for buying/selling resources.
Oh thanks! But I still think it is not enough. Maybe 500 is more reasonable.
Money/crystal/metal lender works for me, but pirate exterminator won't. I have killed nearly 4k of pirates and still achievment is locked.
It gets me most, that I have 40% of the achievements already, working on equaling my Trinity score coz I'm that kinda geek, woe is me, but arg, denied achievement after all that work robbed me of something with the TEC now, just...cant sit back down with them knowing there could be something else to interfere with my e-peen. So really, its a question of are some bugged or just temporarily disabled? Coz I will get it, bug or no bug, as long as its not disabled.

I'm having the exact same problem; I haven't researched anything in the military, defense or even diplomacy trees, but I can't seem to get the TEC Civilian researcher. I played it on random player pic, however (I wanted to kill two achievements with one stone,) and the other two opponents were set to easy difficulty. I didn't ally with any of them either. Did you set your opponents to easy or your player as random?
None of the research achievments are working anymore. The pirates one doesn't work either.
You need to LARP the commander at your nearest mall -preferably while standing over either a woman dressed as advent or male/female dressed as a bug
