Loading Savegames

I'm running version 1.2, I got the patch from here quite a while ago and haven't modified the game since.  At the bottom right of the screen it says "Trinity v1.2"

Anyways, when I first installed the game I patched to this version, played many games and so accumulated many savegames.  All save games are single player against AI, of course.

Just recently, I started playing again.  The game still works just like it did before and the only thing that I have modified on my computer since the last time I played, over a year ago, is that I updated my videocard driver.  As I said, I have not modified Sins at all since I initially installed it and downloaded patches from here.

None of the old save games from when I initially played, over a year ago, will load.  A new save game that I have generated in the past few days loads fine.

All of the old save games give me a mini dump error.  The mini dump file, of course, is just filled with things I don't understand.

Any idea what's going on?
