Just got The Revelry. +10% Population, any units being trained are instantly completed, and current tech is researched instantly.

What we really need are more, smaller random events in addition to the big ones.

In the middle of a close tactical battle my cat jumped onto my keyboard. Before I could shoo her away, she caused all my units to pass multiple turns. I got slaughtered.

I don't know how Stardock arranged that particular random event, but I hope I never see it again.

Yes, I got a meteor shower that damaged all units.

I love random events. When I get around to it I want to mod in a Ice Age event that spawns a bunch of arctic terrain and ice monsters. Maybe a Demon invasion, Mite infestation, or a Falling Star event that spawns a random really good treasure with a guardian as well.

Good to see that one was working.  It cost us a lot of tuna.

Tons and tons of events.  Small, medium, large.  Combat, luck, quests, riddles, random, everything.

Yeah, I've had my first one too. An eclipse that causes monsters to gain 2 levels. Eep.

Funny, having 3 cats this happens to me quite Aloooot, even outside elemental, I bet stardock wants my life to be a lot of random cat attacks :)

I would love to see some events like those in Castles 2. Where your choices determine your reward or punishment.

I did not know there was suppose to be random events in the game. And I have been playing a while.

They are very rare. I play this game more than anyone at Stardock and I have only seen one.

Yea, haven't seen one yet, and have completed a few games already, so I think something should be changed, but otherwise nice to see a random event once in a while :)

I do believe there should be an option to turn them off though.
meaby an option to filter postitive/negative events.

I like the idea of rare but significant and interesting events, things you won't see every game; it means you might see a particular event for the first time during your 10th or 20th game, it helps replayability. That being said, I agree they're a little too rare now, cause I have yet to see any after a few games (..maybe I should get a cat?).

I got my first event yesterday.  It was also the revelry.  I was pleasantly surprised and would like to see more.   It would be cool if there were both global and city based random events.

I've also only seen one... forgot what it was called, but it increased the level of monsters by 1... of course I was in clean up mode and most of the monsters are dead, so I have no idea if it actually works. I'm thinking that event needs to happen way earlier in the game.

That's an excellent point.  I'd agree, it would be nice to see occasional events, rare ones, and extremely rare ones.

Reminds me in this respect a bit of a favorite game of mine, King of Dragon Pass.  It's a distinctive RPG/strategy/sim, built in part out of 600+ plots, some long, some very short, some of which are tagged for common use, plenty of others appearing only under certain conditions, or rarely.  No two games play anywhere near alike.  Which isn't to say that FE should be like that--but that replayability is I think enhanced by things that change from game to game, and can't be controlled by the user.  The trick is making it just a few distinctive elements, rather than overwhelming the player with changes.

I got one where all the monsters supposedly got +2 levels. Couldn't tell though, my sovereign kept slaughtering without interruption. Now if it multiplied the monsters and created new lairs, that would be more interesting.
