The IE9 scrollbars not supporting tiling (and having other limitations too) is due to the very limited themes support that Microsoft put into IE9.  They did not implement support for tiling which is why you cannot use tile in scrollbars in IE9.  We filed bugs on this but Microsoft decided not to fix it.

This is why we added the special web scrollbars which allow you to create scrollbars that will be used in IE9 without having to cripple scrollbars in other applications.

Neil thanks for the answer even if i have played with the web section i couldnt make it work- i was a bit unclear since i wasnt speaking about the drag bars, my problem is the background tiling still. Like i said FF is eating the margin setup and displaying it correctly while IE fails but its only one tiny thing and i guess if MS isnt playing along this is something that cant be fixed..
IE is still one of my most used browsers even if its ugly but after a little skinning it isnt that bad once you get rid of those huge nav buttons
I would just wish MS would participate a little more into the whole skinning section but i have seen the windows 8 fish

@ Well then you havent seen The B I G difference it did for Hyperborea frames !!! neone6 i will have a look at it on my second pc simply dont want to overwrite until its out of beta
