Have you listened to the new Vasari and Advent capital ships? I swear that the Advent's new capital ship is fueled by pure anger and malice.

My fav: "I put the laughter in slaughter!"

I like that line too, but as a whole, the TEC voices are sub-par, I think. I have a hard time believing a lot of them are captains of warships.

I was laughing a lot at Hoshiko voice-over....Behold my Creation! and Neeed repaaairs? :D

As a Vasari player almost exclusively, never heard those before...were these in the original game?

How do you guys play advent and vasari? I know you have to mess with the game files but do not see what to change.

Agreed! The new music is nice, but the new TEC voices are not very credible. Or nice to listen to. (My opnion of course.)

Yeeeeep. I think the only voice that has changed since Vanilla Sins is the Cobalt Light Frigate. He used to sound like a 16 year old possibly drunk surfer.

Also I may as well use this opportunity to say it takes a special kind of messed up to be smug about allies losing capitals like the new Advent subfactions are.

"One of our allies has foolishly lost their capital ship."

"A pitiful ally has lost a capital ship."

But the advent corvettes sound like they are powered not by hate but by child labor.......very high pitched children that have psychological issues........very annoying high pitched children with psychological issues.....very annoying high pitched war mongering children with psychological issues thus their corvette will almost never be built by me....

Agreed, they're way too high pitched.

Yes they are, the pilots need to be more introduced to the airlocks if you ask me......Airlocks my solution to all the problems of space since alien Edit: aliens 3 too do not know if there was an airlock but would have helped the main characters if they used it

I agree that having the Advent say this puts them in a rather bad light. The Advent were supposed to be full of rage and retribution, not pride and a sense of superiority. (Even though they are clearly the superior race. Before you ask, yes, I play Advent. <3 )

Concerning the Advent Corvettes, even though the voice acting is very good (annoying but still good), it got annoying after I got halfway through the first sound bit. In a way, it will be satisfying to build these (annoying) ships as the Advent rebels and throwing away their (pitiful) lives in order to get that extra 8% damage buff on my titan.

I like the cut of your jib, Yottsu.

I would sink so many resources in an attempt to get hell furnaces for the Advent. It would serve a twofold purpose - I can rid myself of annoying child sound ships/crew members, and I can get a significant resource boost on all of my worlds.

I am sorry, Stardock, but the Advent Corvettes really need to get different voices. I am sure that a majority of people do not use the corvettes for the TEC because the obnoxious "The bigger they are, the harder I him 'em" quip is repeated so fast and often. This will be even more so for us Advent players because such a high pitched voice can be hard on the ears. Pitch shift them! Anything!

Edit: How dare you, Stardock, make me hate part of the Unity. <X3

I'd bring them closer to the Seeker Vessels in pitch, but that's me.

Just to repeat myself: I love the game , just think some of the new voices border on juvenile.

I was a bit disappointed with the voices for the Advent Titans.

IMO multiple voices would sound like an entire Coalescence has descended upon a system to enforce its collective will - think Advent equivalent of "We are the Borg" :borg:

Fav titan quote is the loyalist Vasari :-"The maw hungers!" , I can imagine that munching its way through an enemy fleet.

The new voice-acting is really, really not all that great at all. However, the new ships and graphical overhaul all look fantastic. So if you're short on resources, then you're doing it right.

The bigger they are, the harder I hit 'em!

The bigger they are, the harder I hit 'em!

The bigger they are, the harder I hit 'em!

The bigger they are, the harder I hit 'em!

The bigger they are, the harder I hit 'em!

The bigger they are, the harder I hit 'em!

...

I appreciate the effort put in to this, but I wish there was a way to shut it off, especially when building ships that come out quickly.  It gets annoying in a hurry.

Agreed with AtF, this will be worse:

Tell me how I might serve!

Tell me how I might serve!

Tell me how I might serve!

Tell me how I might serve!

Tell me how I might serve!

Tell me how I might serve!

Tell me how I might serve!

Someone mod Noble Sacrifice onto the Advent Corvette for me.

Edit - On another note, the Vasari Corvette voice is excellent.
