I was playing the king of the hill mode capturing and holding a specific gravity well against two ai. The AI was on hard fortification. The ai hardly left the three gravity wells closest to its capital. even though it was on fortification it still seemed a bit extreme.

Also, the AI moved its capital to an asteroid that was directly adjacent to its original capital. Since it was holding three gravity wells, it would appear it tried to move to the middle gravity well. the issue was one shot from a novalith canon it the game was over completely.

 

1. im not sure why the game would end from one ai being destroyed when there are two.

2. the AI should put its capital on such a low-heath location. Seems like it makes for an easy win.

There's definitely something up with the AI. I just played against 3 very hard aggresive AI's, and in the time span of about an hour they each had only colonized 2 or 3 planets. It was odd too, because I came across a few planets that had no neutral ships guarding it, but the AI never bothered to colonize it.

Same issue with AI. Playing random AI, set for hard +. They're not colonizing much, certainly not attacking. Their cap ships move between their stars. One AI built a titan, which did move to attack one of my worlds, but that was all I saw of them.

Yeah same, alto a normal AI, it kept doing stupid stuff, warping a fleet to the pirate well when it's under attack by the pirates in it's own adjacent well.

I think I found a planet where there was a bunch of pirate but he had no fleet protecting it and a fleet sitting at another well besides it.

I saw a Titan foundry but the AI produced a single cap that it sacrificed early in game and then probably spent all it's resource on a titan it never got out.

Although its understandable for the AI to be a later development, I'm bummed that it's at the stage it is. I've only played offline so far, so it kind of kills the joy of playing the beta.

i had to set the ai to cruel up to get a challenge from them and even then they still act weird and i have seen them build a titan but i never really go to fight one it :( lol
