Visual (animation) BUG of siege frigate!!!

Maybe it is known already, but have to report an ancient visual bug (maybe not so crusial, but still):

Siege frigate Krosov fires bombs only from the LEFT pylon, the right one is never used (there is no any animation of the bombs getting out from the right-sided pylon when bombing the planet). It should use the both left and right pylon (one by one - as for example rocket frigate Javelis), - so, please, fix this at last.

Dont know - where its better to report this - anyway, somebody, please (maybe moderators) inform the developers to make a fix.

lol It probably has never been even noticed. We are all more worried about balance and other bigger issues then too worry about the little used Siege Frigates.

Are you sure that's not intentional? The other might be the laser cannon.

No, its NOT intentional - only one pylon is active when bombing planet - the left one, the right one is never used. They have forgot to activate it (error in code).

There will be no patch soon. See if it is there when the Rebellion Beta comes out and make a comment then.

Yep--I imagine if it doesn't directly impact new work in Rebellion its a lesser priority.

Well, its not good news about soon patch...

Does anybody have an idea how to fix this bug manually? Which file to edit etc. And will it work for AI players in single game and more importantly - will it work in multiplayer game (not to crash or desynchronize the game) when I fix this and other - not?

Any ideas?

It can't hurt to ask.  IMHO, after all the effort you made, they ought to fix this now just to be nice.

Have no any skill to mod it... If I could - I made it long time ago...

Still again - have they fixed the bug in rebellion?

And will it be fixed in trinity (next patch)???

Not fixed, and it will probably never be fixed, as it is not a "problem"

It's an aesthetic thing, and it's so easy to mod that they [the devs] won't bother to change it.

 

Take a look at the mesh file for the Krosov in text format and look for Bomb meshpoints...

add some more in the opposite X axis from each point, edit the meshpoint count, and voila, it works

I don't knolw if the gentelmen is still around but I saw a pirate siege frigate firing freom both missile points tonight.

Very neat actually, they skew an jitter out of the tube and then cross paths and arc in to the target.  

Just thought he might want to know he was heard.

I never zoomed in on them before.  It wasn't until I started model work that I spent any real time zoomed in on most ships.

So why don't they take the mesh info off the one and put it on the other and problem solved.  I really liked that crazy, wobbly, crossover rocket effect there.
